Miller Place Valedictorian Steven Cincotta and Rocky Point Valedictorian Zachary Myslinski attended the Suffolk County School Superintendents Association's 17th Annual Luncheon to recognize the county's top high school students in the Class of 2011.

Myslinski's parents John and Donna Myslinski, guidance counselor Michael Conlon, Principal William Caulfield, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Michael Ring, and Executive Director for Educational Services Susan Wilson were in attendance for Rocky Point. Miller Place Superintendent Susan Hodun and Assistant High School Principal and Director of Guidance Sean White both attended as well.

All valedictorians received a framed certificate of achievement and an autographed copy of keynote speaker Gary McGuey's book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. Lead Education Senior Consultant for Franklin Covey was also a keynote speaker at the luncheon.

The association and its corporate partners awarded ten $500 scholarships to graduates planning to pursue a career in education or social services. NYU, Cornell, Princeton, Yale, University of North Carolina, Georgetown, MIT, Harvard, Columbia and Duke are among the many schools that will be attended by some of the county's valedictorians.
