A successful season for the Mt. Sinai Varsity football team fell short of its ultimate goal Monday evening as the Mustangs lost to Babylon, 21-7.
Brothers Mark and Mike Donadio, who helped lead the No. 2 Mustangs in to the championship game, were held to 85 yards rushing combined. Babylon iced what was a one-score game late in the fourth quarter with a methodical drive that ended in a touchdown.
Babylon, the No. 1 ranked team in Div. IV, was the only team to drop the Mustangs in the regular season as well, 22-16, back on Sept. 29.
