Photo of the Day: Five Miller Place Athletes Sign NCAA Letters

New lacrosse program breeds three college recruits.

On Nov. 9, five Miller Place High School student athletes signed NCAA Letters of Intent.

Sitting in the front row are three lacrosse players set to begin their college playing careers. On the left is Mitchell LaBianca, who is heading to Binghamton University. In the middle is Jeff Reh, who is making the short trek to Stony Brook University, and on the right is the newest member of the Malloy College lacrosse squad, PJ Castrovinci.

Standing in the back left is District Athletic Director Lisa Lally, followed by Varsity lacrosse coach Keith Lizzi, who has been the coach since the program started just two years ago. To his left are baseball players Matt Hinchy (Univeristy at Albany) and Dan Smith (Iona College), along with their coach Tom Veryzer and high school principal Kevin Slavin.
