Each year Miller Place High School students are honored for both Outstanding Acts of Kindness (OAK) and Outstanding Academic Recognition (OAR).
The recipients of these awards, and their parents, were invited to the recent OAK and OAR Awards Breakfast in the high school where the students were given their awards and honored for their accomplishments. The students are nominated for the awards by the faculty and staff.
The recipients of the winter OAK awards were Janet Metcalf, Dylan Piccola, Patrick Payne, Alaina Ross, Brittany Golden, Chelsea Garbe and Travis Bell.
The recipients of the OAR awards were Nathanial Gass, Tyler Dromerhauser, Christopher Magnani, James Ferraiuolo and Danielle Nook.
