Rocky Point High School student's Kyle Berkoski, Lisa LaFountaine, Samuel Raleigh and Fred Volz were recently commended for their outstanding musical talents on a regional level as they were invited to participate in two coveted student ensembles.
As a result of their outstanding New York State School Music Association scores
and teacher recommendations, Berkoski, LaFountaine and Volz were chosen to participate in the Long Island String Festival Association’s orchestra ensemble.
Additionally, based on the same criteria and an on-the-spot audition, Raleigh was selected to participate in the All-County percussion ensemble. Both festivals will be held this February.
