Rocky Point HS Performs ‘Miss Saigon’

Rocky Point High School’s talented student-actors took to the stage this winter to perform the hit musical “Miss Saigon” before packed audiences during their four-night run. The production, which has a rich plot filled with a classic love story and tragic tales of war, called for audiences to travel back in time to the Vietnam War.

As the curtain opened, audiences reveled in the music as student-actors depicted the turmoil of the Vietnam War, the love between an American soldier and a strong-willed Vietnamese girl, the struggles they faced when trying to find each other over the ensuing years, and how it all ended in tragedy for her and a fighting chance for the child he never knew he had.
