Rocky Point Middle School educator Elicia Katsapis has been named the 2014 recipient of the Science Teachers Association of New York State Middle Level Science Teacher of the Year Award.
This award is presented to science teachers who demonstrate that they are not only outstanding educators, but have been involved in endeavors that have provided students and teachers with programs and strategies for the advancement of science, in and out of the classroom. Ms. Katsapis has promoted the enhancement of science education with distinction and has earned the respect of her colleagues.
