Rocky Point School District Keeps Spirits High During Homecoming Game Losses

Rocky Point community goes big for Homecoming.

The Rocky Point School District took homecoming to a whole new level this week as thousands of community members lined the sidewalks of the high school to show their homecoming support.

Residents were quick to fill the stands to cheer on their favorite Eagle teams. This year, the girls varsity volleyball game and boys varsity soccer game were played during homecoming. Although the district lost both games, their spirits remained high.

In addition to the games, the district held it's annual parade filled with student floats and school related organizations. On their website, the district said, "Homecoming King Michael Rotunno and Queen Reagan Lynch waved to fans from their seats in an open convertible and high school students rode upon the floats they had created based on this year’s “cereal box” theme, while kindergartners through eighth-graders marched behind the school banners they had fashioned."
