Rocky Point Schools Hold Orientations

Incoming kindergarteners and sixth graders welcomed to their new schools.

Incoming kindergarteners were welcomed to and sixth graders to the recently before the start of the school year on Wednesday.

The new members of the Class of 2024 were treated to their first bus ride through the neighborhood along with teachers, and an ice cream social followed orientation. The students were dressed in multi-colored shirts to represent their individual classes.

Incoming sixth graders were invited to become acquainted with their school building, and everyone in attendance was treated to food provided by Outback Steakhouse.

“Coming to middle school is a new experience," said Principal Scott O’Brien, "and this event helps the incoming sixth graders become more comfortable with their new surroundings.”
