Rocky Point Students Get Cozy, Celebrate Reading

Elementary students wear pajamas to school and conduct the Polar Express in the gymnasium.

Students at Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School in Rocky Point were recently given the chance to spend an entire school day wearing comfortable pajamas and celebrating the holiday season through literature.

Acting as conductors from “The Polar Express,” Principal Virginia Gibbons
and Assistant Principal Dr. Courtney Herbert gathered the school’s students in
the gymnasium to share the familiar story.

Donning conductors’ hats, the building administrators read the holiday tale during this annual event that has become a favorite for students and teachers alike.
