Shoreham Schools to Install Posts at 25A Entry to Prevent Parking

Project will cost around $4,000 but helps insurance liability.

The Shoreham-Wading River School Board recently approved a resolution to install posts and rails about 12 to 15 inches off the curb at the district's 25A entrance to prevent parking, according to a report in the Village Beacon Record.

Parking becomes a problem along the entryways at Shoreham-Wading River High School, the administration building and North Shore Public Library Traffic usually during sporting events a cars pull park on the curb near the fields, according to the report.
