Video: MP Board of Ed Candidate Profile: Jennifer Leen
15-year MP resident and former teacher running for board seat.
Jennifer Leen has lived in the Miller Place School District for 15 years and is a certified teacher in New York State, formerly teaching in MPSD. Leen has been a basketball coach for the MPPTO team and has four children, and will have one in all four schools next year.
She is running for her first seat on the school board and is focused on maintaining and improving academic programs during these tough economic times while increasing community involvement in the district.
Leen said two goals of hers if elected are to tape and stream board meetings and to develop an interactive board web site for community members to access information and suggest ideas.
