Whiz Kid: Brett Osman a Football Team Star, Volunteer and More.

Osman is a multi-sport athlete, volunteer and honor roll student at Miller Place.

Accomplishments:  Brett has been a multi-sport athlete at Miller Place High School during his four years.  As a freshman, he played Junior Varsity basketball, football and lacrosse.  He set his high school JV football record for the most rushing touchdowns in a season.  For the past three years, he has played Varsity football as a running back and safety, again setting his high school records for the most touchdowns in a season and career, and the most rushing yards in a season and career.  He also tied the record for 200 plus rushing yards in consecutive games.  Captain of his team, Brett has earned All-Division and All-County Honors.  This season, Newsday named him as one of the top 45 high school football players in Suffolk County, saying Brett is "A slasher with great vision who finds gaps between the tackles."

Not only has Brett been a star player on the football team, he will be playing Varsity lacrosse in the defensive position for his third season this spring.  Last season he was the recipient of the Lacrosse Leadership Award.  He played travel with Team Long Island Lacrosse and through high school has played with Champ Camp at Loyola University, Peak 200 All-Star Team, Long Island Lacrosse Showcase, and the UMass Amherst Tournament.  He helped Miller Place win the Suffolk County Class B Lacrosse Championship in 2013.

Brett has volunteered his time with Hope House Ministries and was on the Honor Roll as a freshman. He recently signed a letter of intent to play Division I lacrosse for Marist College, where he will be studying business administration.
