Whiz Kid: Erin Johnson, All-League Soccer Player

Name: Erin Johnson - 16

School: - Junior

Accomplishment: Erin Johnson has racked up multiple honors and accomplishments in her many years playing soccer. She was voted team MVP as an eighth-grader and led her team as captain in both eighth and ninth grades. She played on the JV team at MPHS in ninth grade and on the Varsity team in 10th and 11th grades as a forward/midfielder.  

Johnson earned All-League honors last season as her team made it to the first round of the Class A playoffs. She has been playing travel soccer with the Sound Beach Jaguars for the past five years and also plays for a showcase soccer team, Score at the Shore Chaos.

Keys to Awesomeness: Johnson also runs Varsity winter track in the 300 meters and the 55 meter dash, and Varsity spring track in the 100 and 200 meter dash.

She was a member of the HS Varsity Club, volunteers at PTO functions and is a water safety aide for the Town of Brookhaven. Along with her athletic accomplishments, she is an honor roll student enrolled in multiple AP classes and was treasurer of the National Junior Honor Society.
