Name: Meghan Nesbitt
School: - Grade 12
Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Nesbitt won the singing competition Miller Place Idol a few years ago and has sang at different venues locally. She recently sang and played guitar at the in Sound Beach, and she was featured at a concert at Church, with the proceeds going to benefit orphanages overseas.
Key to Awesomeness: Nesbitt was in concert chorus in ninth grade and select chorus the past three years. She is involved with the youth group at St. Louis, helping to run some of the retreats and cooks for the kids. She plans to be a youth group leader next year. For the past two years she has been emplyed at the Market in Miller Place where she works in the kitchen with the cook preparing salads, baking and catering.
She has taken two AP classes and will be attending Suffolk Community College in the fall, studying secondary English/creative writing, while continuing to pursue her singing. She plans to attend the Culinary Institute of America after graduating from SCCC.
