Beers is now currently majoring in Film and Screen Studies, with minors in Photography and Sociology at Pace University. As a senior, she is the Vice President of Pace University's Stonewall Coalition. The coalition's goal is to come together to stop hate by sharing differences, voicing difficulties, spreading gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex awareness, as well as awareness of diversity not only of sexual orientation, but of race, gender, class and culture on the Pace campus. She is also a member of the Residence Hall Association which aims to create a sense of community in the residence halls. This is mostly a social organization that holds events in the hopes of making everyone in the residence halls feel comfortable and engaged.
She recently stayed at the Church of the Annunciation in New Orleans, while volunteering with the Organization Reaching for the Empowerment of Youth (OREY). Her volunteer duties included working at the Arthur Ashe Charter School tutoring students, painting murals in the school, priming stairway handrails and engaging with the students at recess and assisting with their homework. She has also been an orientation leader and a member of the Welcome Wagon, helping new students lug all of their belongings into their dorm rooms and answering students and parents questions about Pace University. She has also volunteered at the Hamilton-Madison House, a community center in the Two Bridges/Chinatown area, where she has helped at the Halloween Fun Days and Family Fun Days.
