Are You Participating in Virtual Lobbying Day?

The Miller Place School District and New York State PTA are encouraging participation in Virtual Lobbying Day Tuesday, a day designed to contact representatives en masse to get a message accross.

The message to send along to legislators on the MPSD website reads, "Increase and redirect our school funding and provide mandate relief as promised to ensure equitable access to a sound, common, basic education based on Regents graduation standards for every child."

There are directions on the website to contact your representatives by either calling or sending a letter. Miller Place's virtual lobbying day coincides with the NYS PTA lobbying day, which comes during the PTAs advocacy month.
