"Words Hurt" Anti-Bullying Video Recognized Again by Suffolk County

Anti-Bullying video was made by Miller Place students in April.

The recognition continued for students' which was created for Suffolk County's anti-violence program back in April.

The video's star, Katrina Svoboda, director Ambrose Teniozo and their film will be recognized at the Suffolk County Film Commission’s annual First Exposure High School “Best of Show” Ceremony. The student's will receive a certificate of recognition from Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy, and the film will be evaluated by the programming staff of the Hamptons International Film Festival, Stony Brook Film Festival and Cinema Arts Centre.

All in all, 17 students took part in the film, which was shown at a Red Carpet Event at the Patchogue Theatre on April 13. Svoboda's image from the film was also used to promote the county's anti-violence program.

The video had around 700 hits on YouTube back in April and now has over 2,200 as of June 14.
