The Miller Place varsity girls track team earned the Suffolk Small School Championship Sunday at Suffolk Community College in Brentwood.
The team was led by Talia Guevara and Laura Nolan, who won the 3,000-meter race, and Guevara's twin, Tiana, who won the 1,500 in 4:50.31 and also finished second in the 1,000 in 2:57.41.
Senior Hanna Greenfield also earned 22 of Miller Place's points with success in three events, highlighted by a win in the long jump. Read more on their victory in Newsday (subscription required).
