Miller Place Girls Volleyball Advances to Playoffs [PHOTOS]
Panthers down Westhampton to clinch berth.
The Miller Place Varsity girls volleyball team advanced to the playoffs with a 3-2 win over Westhampton Thursday.
Janet Metcalf led the Panthers with seven kills, six digs and four aces in the League VI matchup. On Senior Day, the Panthers reigned supreme with help from Emma Larson's four kills and two aces, Amanda DiSunno's six kills and three blocks and setter Jess Post's 12 assists, six digs and two kills.
The first round of the playoffs is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 1.
