Miller Place Girls Volleyball Downs Westhampton Beach [PHOTOS]
Panthers win key League VI match over Westhampton Beach.
After four back and forth games, the Miller Place varsity girls volleyball team took command in the fitfth and deciding game to earn the 3-2 match win over Westhampton Beach on Tuesday.
The Panthers were led by Janet Metcalf, Emma Larson and Sabrina Stransky. Metcalf finished with seven kills, two aces and six digs, Larson managed seven kills, one block, two aces and four digs while Sabrina Stransky added five kills and two acces.
The win moves the Panthers to 2-3 in League VI play. They now look ahead to a big match with Mt. Sinai at home, Thursday at 4 p.m.
