Miller Place Lax 'On the Rise;' Defenseman Commits

Jacob Bloom, an incoming junior, has verbally committed to paying at Marist College.

A Miller Place Panther defenseman has verbally committed to playing at Marist College, but not for a couple of seasons, as incoming junior Jacob Bloom still has some time to go before he graduates from a program Lax Lessons dubbed 'on the rise.'

Playing in just their fourth season as a varsity program, the Panthers won the Suffolk County Class B crown last spring before falling to Garden City in the Long Island finals, grabbing the attention of college coaches across the Tri-State area and beyond.

According to a report on LaxLessons.com, Bloom said he had considered Sacred Heart, Stony Brook, Lehigh and others.
