Rocky Point Announces Scholar Athlete Teams
Four Rocky Point spring squads named scholar teams.
Four Rocky Point High School spring athletic teams have earned the Scholar-Athlete Team Award from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association.
This honor is presented to New York State teams who possess a cumulative GPA of 90 percent or better. A total of 18 Rocky Point teams were bestowed with this honor during the entire 2012-2013 school year.
Congratulations to the following spring teams and their coaches on this achievement:
Girls Track - GPA 95.098
Boys Track - GPA 94.488
Girls Lacrosse - GPA 91.194
Boys Tennis - GPA 90.736
