Rocky Point Football Starts Season On The Road
The Eagles begin 2013 campaign against Deer Park on Wednesday.
The Rocky Point varsity football squad will kick off the 2013 regular season on the road against Deer Park on Wednesday, September 11. The Eagles will look to get off to a fast start after putting up a 3-5 record last season.
They’ll start against a team they defeated in 2012 by a score of 29-14. In that game graduated senior Brayden O’Hara put up a career game with 190 yards and 3 TDs.
Deer Park struggled last year as well, putting up a 1-7 record with their lone win coming against Eastport-South Manor on September 14.

A big rematch to look forward to comes on October 26 when the Eagles face Harborfields, who edged them by one point, 21-20, in Week 6. That game will be played at 2 p.m.
But first, Deer Park on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The field is located on North 5th Street off Nicolls Road.
