Shoreham-Wading River Wrestlers Place in States

Wildcats help lead Section XI to a first place finish.

Three varsity wrestlers placed in the New York State Division I championships held in Albany on Feb. 24 and 25.

TJ Fabian came in fourth place in the 120-pound division after securing three wins in his bracket. In the 152-pound class, John Keck took home fifth place after defeating Christian Masaya of Brooklyn Tech.

Lastly, Zak Mullen earned fourth place in the 160-pounders after a loss in the third place match to Frank Affronti of Wayne. As a team, the Wildcats totaled 38.5 points in the tournament to help Section XI earn first place with 250 points overall.
