Legis. Sarah Anker recently acknowledged in Miller Place for its community work and dedication toward helping numerous local groups gain support and awareness for their causes.
Marc Prince, Director of Operations for Applebee’s and Dean Polycranos, Assistant General Manager of the Miller Place restaurant, were presented with a certificate of appreciation for their involvement in multiple charitable events.
The restaurant was recognized for its help with the American Red Cross “Walk for Disaster Relief”, the ALS Walk, as well as their role in honoring Veterans with free meals on Veterans Day and hosting Flapjack Fundraisers which helped support Operation Veronica and Rocky Point Fischer-Hewins .
Prince and Polycranos were joined at the podium by Joe Cognitore, Commander of the VFW Post 6249, when receiving the commendation.
