Over $4K Generated at Shoreham-Wading River Bi-Continental Run

Charitable run raised funds for the Hope Children's Fund.

The Eighth Annual Bi-Continental Walk/Run at raised over $4,000 for a Hope Children's Fund home in Jamaica.

There are currently 79 AIDS-affected children residing at this home, which students from Shoreham-Wading River High School have made trips to in past years.

Brookhaven Town Supervisor Mark Lesko and Legis. Sarah Anker participated in the walk/run.

“This was my third time taking part in the run and it was great to once again come out on a beautiful springday to support a fantastic cause,” said Supervisor Lesko.

“I am very supportive of Hope Children’s Funds efforts in helping those who are greatly in need," Anker added. "Not only is Hope Children’s Fund providing support, but they provide a way for students to seefirst-hand and participate in helping others across the globe.”
