Ruff Riders Rally for Pet Rescue Nonprofit

Around 100 motorcyclists started off in Rocky Point on Saturday, riding down to Patchogue to support Save-a-Pet of Port Jefferson Station.

While the name may suggest otherwise, the Ruff Riders are indeed a very loving bunch of people.

The Ruff Riders Rally drew close to 100 motorcyclists and animal lovers to Rocky Point on Saturday to support Port Jefferson Station's Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center.

The eighth annual event had motorcyclists start riding at Petco in Rocky Point, through eastern Suffolk County, southern Long Island and finish at 89 North Music Venue in Patchogue.

Bands that played at the Patchogue venue were Songs In The Attic, Big Daddy & The Bulldogs, Fast Lane, Seven Turns, Milagro and That Rock Band through Act1Entertainment.net.

Dogs from Save-A-Pet were also up for adoption, and raffles and merchandise contributed further proceeds to the organization.
