Jesse Pallas is a five-year-old boy from Miller Place who was diagnosed with leukemia just over a year ago, and he has and help in his battle.
The latest effort to help Jesse is a Relay For Life team started by Miller Place's Lisa Lynch, who will attend the Longwood High School relay on May 19. The team has raised $1,000 for Jesse so far and has a goal of $2,500.
"This boy has touched my heart and the hearts of many others in so many ways," Lynch writes on the team's Relay For Life page. "I want to do anything I can to help cancer patients who are battling this disease, to remember those that have been lost like my grandfather, and to congratulate those who have survived."
Lynch has been joined by nine others on the team so far and dozens of others have helped donate.
