Whiz Kid: Miller Place Student Earns Eagle Scout for Walkway Construction

Daniel Klein planned and constructed a brick walkway for the World War Two Pearl Harbor Purple Heart Memorial in Calverton.

Klein, of Troop 433 in Middle Island, planned and constructed a brick walkway for the World War Two Pearl Harbor Purple Heart Memorial, which is located at Calverton National Cemetery. The walkway is approximately 63 feet with an additional half circle in front. He was helped by his fellow scouts of Troop 433 and J. Ratto Landscaping, LTD of Calverton donated services.

The Miller Place junior also plays 2nd Singles on the varsity tennis team and hopes to attend a college in a warm climate so that he can play outdoor tennis year round. He is interested in Forensics and possibly pursuing a Spanish language degree.
