Civic Meeting, Heart Health, Film Fanatics This Week

It's a week of heart prevention and weight loss seminars.

Here's a look at what's happening in Miller Place-Rocky Point this week.

Sound Beach Civic Association Meeting: The meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m. on Jan 13. The civic association will host its monthly meeting. On the agenda will be the Sound Beach Property Owners and Echo Pharmacy. The meeting will be held at the Sound Beach Fire House.

Weight Loss Seminar. Dr. Arif Ahmad and John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson have been jointly recognized as a Bariatric Center of Excellence 
since 2007 and now offer a comprehensive program including nutritional

Film Fanatics: Join us at Comsewogue Public Library for a viewing of the film Lee Daniels' The Butler (PG-13), and a lively, interesting discussion.
