The Week Ahead: Free Concert, Civic Meeting and More
Take a look at what's happening this week in the area.
Welcome to another Monday. As you begin your week, here's a look at what lies ahead in the Miller Place-Rocky Point area:
- Rain will be here to start the week, with a 70 percent chance of showers on Mnonday and thunderstorms expected on Tuesday. But sunny skies are expected to follow for the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service.
- On Monday at 7:30 p.m., the Sound Beach Civic Association will be holding its monthly meeting, with Councilwoman Jane Bonner coming to speak. The meeting takes place at the Sound Beach firehouse.
- Psychic medium Jeffrey Wands, a regular radio personality on a Long Island radio station, will deliver a fundraiser performance on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Polish American Independent Club to benefit the National Spiritualist Association of Churches National Convention.
- Streetfighter, a Rolling Stones tribute band, will be performing Tuesday night at 7:00 in downtown Rocky Point as part of a summer concert series sponsored by the Rocky Point VFW and Legis. Sarah Anker.
