The Rocky Point Fire Department is an all-volunteer organization that covers Rocky Point as well as parts of Shoreham and Wading River. The department boasts about 100 firefighters and offers full fire and rescue services. It even has special equipment for boat rescues and brush fires to cover Rocky Point's beach areas and its thousands of acres of woodland space.
