Kelly Kuzman, Neighbor

I am currently a Journalism Major at Stony Brook University. I am graduating in December and I cannot wait to get even further into the world of Journalism.  I have been a Long Islander my whole life and I am excited to be able to deliver the local news to fellow Long Islanders.

Growing up, my mom always had the local news on the TV while I was getting ready for school each morning. I came to really follow the reporters and I fell in love with the profession along with all their autographs I would receive after I would write to them to tell them how much I wanted to be just like them.

This past semester I got the chance to Intern at News 12 Long Island as a Production assistant, which made me want to follow my dreams of being a local reporter more than ever. Before working with Patch, I have had my work published in the Stony Brook Statesman, and my most recent visual profile story can be seen in the Kings Park Heritage Museum.

I am a dedicated worker and journalist. I love having the opportunity to keep the members of my community informed with the latest news in their towns.
