Netusil Jewelers Act Of Kindness Makes Resident's Day

Netusil Jewelers is a jewelry manufacturer, repair, service and cleaning shop located in Rocky Point. Deborah Goldhammer had an experience she will never forget when she took her son into the shop to buy a gift. 

"I explained that we were shopping for my son's 12 year-old friend who was celebrating his 10-year cancer free anniversary. I wanted to engrave a dog tag for him," Goldhammer said in an email. 

"As soon as I asked the price, he asked my son what was more important, the price or the thought.  My son of course answered the thought and then Andrew [the owner] said that was right and this wasn't going to cost us anything because it was the thought that counted. I was shocked."

Goldhammer said the results were amazing. She left the store with a beautiful dog tag that was engraved on both sides. The jeweler has been trying to help out the community for years. Goldhammer said if you need a battery in your watch replaced, the owner of the store won't charge you for labor as long as you bring in canned food for donations. 

"Well, I went to the grocery store and filled two bags full of food for him to donate to pay it forward in honor of him," said Goldhammer.  "I think the community should know of his generosity and also give this good man your business whenever you need a jeweler."
