Brush Fire Extinguished at Rocky Point Preserve

A brush fire in Rocky Point was extinguished safely with no injuries Wednesday.

Local departments were called to the scene of a  brush fire on the west side of Rocky Point Road between Whiskey Road and Route 25 at 1:05 p.m Wednesday.

Rocky Point fire department responded with mutual aid from Middle Island, Miller Place, Ridge and more. According to police, the cause is undetermined and the investigation is continuing. There were no injuries.
