A Rocky Point man was involved in an accident early on Wednesday morning that sent a bicyclist to the hospital in serious condition according to a police report.
At 5:12 am, Frank Sciulla, 49, was driving in a 2003 Ford on Mount Sinai-Coram Road near Pine Road in Coram when he hit a bicycle ridden by Ian Rhodes, 22, of Coram.
Rhodes was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with what police described as serious injuries. Sciulla was not injured.
The accident is under investigation and police are asking anyone who saw the crash to call them at (631) 864-8652 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at (800) 220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
