April 29: A Fundraiser and Live Performances
Start your weekend off with a pancreatic cancer fundraiser or some live performances throughout the area.-
1. The Sixth Annual Pancreatic Cancer Fundraiser takes place at Danford's Hotel and Marina in Port Jefferson. Tickets are $30 for the event which begins at 5:30 p.m. Upscale attire is required and you must be 21 or older to attend.
2. At 8 p.m. at Beanberry Cafe, Sound Beach native Deborah Lombardi performs her original songs.
3. The North Shore Youth Council holds Band Night from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at their headquarters at Joseph A. Edgar School.
4. With gas prices well over $4 per gallon with no end in sight, residents sound off. What you're saying to come this afternoon.
5. This week's Whiz Kid completely refurbished a Miller Place school's sign. Hear more this morning.
