Heritage Trust Founder Recognized

Mt. Sinai's Lori Baldassare helped create North Shore Heritage Park in her time with the Mt. Sinai Civic.

As Founder of the Heritage Trust and Brookhaven Deputy Superintendent for Highways Lori Baldassare of Mt. Sinai has accomplished many things for the area, and she was recently featured in an article in the Times Beacon Record.

Before the North Shore Heritage Park was created, Home Depot was interested in buying that parcel of land over 10 years ago. Then a member of the Mt. Sinai Civic, Baldassare played a key role in preserving the property and founding the popular park.

"If there was no Lori Baldassare, I seriously doubt there would be a Heritage Park," Legis. Sarah Anker said in the article.
