Miller Place Executive to be Honored for Efforts Against Homelessness

Empire National Bank President and Miller Place native to be honored.

Miller Place native Thomas M. Buonaiuto, Empire National Bank's President and COO, will be honored by New Ground, an agency dedicated to eradicating homelessness on Long Island, at its 18th Annual Golf Outing.

The event will be held on May 20 at the Cherry Valley Club in Garden City.

“Homelessness on Long Island is often an unspoken issue, yet it impacts many segments of our population," Buonaiuto said in a release. "It’s a privilege to be honored by an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people trying to overcome this daunting hardship.”

New Ground Executive Director Shannon Boyle added, “We are very happy to honor Tom at this year’s golf outing. Our mission of educating and empowering those who were once caught in the vicious cycle of homelessness reflects his ongoing commitment to the Long Island community.”
