Miller Place Hosts Special Education Support Group

Support group designed to help parents with the special education process

Parent's going through the educational process for the first time with a special education student can be overwhelmed, frustrated, and confused. It can be an extremely difficult process, one that a Miller Place Special Education Support Group hopes to help with.

According to their website, the group was formed to help people "navigate through the Miller Place School District Special Education process." The group does everything from parent-to-parent mentoring, workshops, and seminars designed to make the process go a little smoother.

The next meeting is on Nov. 14 at the Miller Place High School library.
