Over the past few days, parents all across New York State have read about falling test scores as results of last year's assessments were released by the State Department of Education.

While the numbers were no surprise, the widespread, dramatic drop in scores has led Comsewogue Superintendent Dr. Joe Rella to demand his elected officials to help enact change, or to begin proceedings to remove him from office.

For the past four years, Joe Feminella has acted as a team captain of the Stony Brook University football team.

According to the YouTube video above, Feminella, 14, is a nine-year survivor of brain cancer, a disease he was diagnosed with at the age of 5. He's at every game, has jerseys and other Seawolves gear, rushes the field before each game and has even has traveled with the team.
