North Shore Library Open Through Construction Phase

Work in front of the library, at the Shoreham-Wading River High School, is expected to be done by the new school year.

While backhoes and Bobcats hum around during the day at Shoreham-Wading River High School and the North Shore Public Library, the library remains open for business during normal hours, as the work is expected to be completed before the end of the summer.

According to the school district's website, work in front of the library – new curbs and sidewalks at the court yard where buses turn around – is just one project expected to be ready for the new school year.

Other projects include: Smart Boards and a wireless network districtwide; roof work at the high school and Briarcliff Elementary; handicapped curb replacement at Miller Avenue School; an extension of the bus drop-off area at Wading River Elementary; and more projects.

A complete list can be found on the district's website.

School begins on Sept. 9.
