Movies at the Staller Center

When/Where: Friday, 7 p.m. at the Staller Center for the Arts.

Why Go: Watch the Danish film Applause at 7 p.m. and the film Like Crazy at 9 p.m. Passes and single tickets available.

Koga Exercise at the Heritage Center

When/Where: Friday, 10 a.m. and Saturday 9:30 a.m. at the Heritage Center at 633 Mt. Sinai-Coram Road, Mt. Sinai.

Why Go: The Heritage Park Center offers Koga, a combination of kickboxing and yoga, for $12. Combine strength, flexibility and cardio in a fun workout.

Belly Dancing Classes

When/Where: Saturday, 10:15 a.m. at the North Shore Public Library. 

Why Go: Exercise, melt away stress in a beginner class which can be used as a refresher for intermediate level dancers. Call ahead, $25.00 one-time fee for seven-week course.

Social Justice Speaker 

When/Where: Sunday, 10:30 p.m. at the Mt. Sinai Congregational Church, 233 N Country Rd, Mount Sinai.

Why Go: In honor of the upcoming International Women's Day, Liz Gannon Graydon of What Better Looks Like will discuss her recent trips to Rwanda and the Congo and her group's focus on Human Rights for African Women. This will be the first event sponsored by the Social Justice Task Force.
