Weekend Planner: Drive 4Ur School, Live Music and Yard Sales

1. Miller Place Friends of the Arts annual Drive 4Ur School event -- where Ramp Ford brings a fleet of brand new cars and for each test drive taken -- is happening Saturday at the North Country Road Middle School at 10 a.m. Ford donates $20 to the MP music and arts programs and there is no obligation or pressure to buy...it's the fundraiser that costs you nothing.  

There will also be music performed by the various bands and soloists, McNulty's ice cream, Ralph's Italian ices, raffle baskets and every driver receives a chance to win a new iPad.

2. Check out the solo acoustic stylings of Mick Hargreaves at Crazy Beans Friday night at 7 p.m.

3. Carmody's of Rocky Point is hosting live music all weekend. Miles Road plays their  classic rock and blues Friday at 8 p.m. and the 2 Man Acoustical Jam plays the Rocky Point Fire Department fundraiser Saturday night.

4. Take mom out to breakfast Mother's Day weekend and help support Troop 1133's Bronze Award project Saturday at 8 a.m. at Applebee's. Meal includes pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and a beverage (coffee, juice, soda or tea).

5. Like yard sales? Then you're in luck this Saturday. The sixth annual Rocky Point Community Yard Sale takes place at 55 Clubhouse Drive at 8 a.m. and another community yard sale will be going on beginning at 9 a.m. at North Shore Thrift and Consignment.
