Don't Miss: Summer Concert Series Kicks Off Tuesday Night
Swingtime Big Band takes the stage.
The third annual free summer concert series in downtown Rocky Point continues on Tuesday night starting at 6 p.m., as Swingtime Big Band performs at St. Anthony's of Padua Church on Route 25A.
Sponsored by Legis. Sarah Anker and the Rocky Point VFW, this Tuesday will mark the first of four this month after the first appearance – Strawberry Fields, a Beatles cover band – was postponed due to rain.
Anker said last week that the concerts, while entertainment for the ears, is also meant to help spur economic activity, drawing attendees out of the house and along the way possibly for something like a meal, or even an ice cream before or after the show.
