As Play N Trade Closes, Two Businesses Shuffle Locations

Dee Jo's in Miller Place and Sprint in Rocky Point changing locations after Play N Trade closes doors.

Play N Trade in Miller Place recently closed down, and the vacant space has led to two businesses relocating.

will be moving into the vacant Play N Trade location next door in the Shopping Center, and the Rocky Point Sprint store will be moving from it's location on the corner of Route 25A and Rocky Point-Yaphank Road into the Dee Jo's location.

Dee from Dee Jo's said they made the move to a small location because of the lower rent.

"We should be operational at this location for the next three days," she said. "We hope to be in the new location by June 1."

Dee Jo's is currently advertising a moving sale in its window. A sign on the door of the Rocky Point Sprint notifies passers by of the move to the Applebees shopping center, and requests customers to visit their Stony Brook Store on 347 until the Miller Place store opens.

Play N Trade public relations did not return a request for comment as of this writing.

Dee of De Jo's is a treasured face-behind-the-business in our community. I hope that all of us who have come to know her (and appreciate her dedication to giving the best of herself on behalf of ourselves and our beloved animal companions) will continue to support her during this move. Consider this entry both a thumbs-up review and a hearty "Good Luck" in your new location!
