10 Local Restaurants with New Year's Eve Specials

Whether you're looking for a midnight toast or just a good meal, several restaurants in the Miller Place-Rocky Point area have specials to celebrate the New Year. Here's a list of local eateries either hosting New Year's Eve parties or offering special menus on Dec. 31.

 1.     in Rocky Point – Deks is open New Year's Eve and serving a special menu including mussels, baked clams, fried calamari and pickled hering for appetizers and twin Brazillian lobsters, filet minon, Long Island duck and red snapper for entrees. An employee said reservations are recommended for the night.

2.     Hartlin Inn in Sound Beach – The Hartlin Inn also has New Year's Eve specials, both for lunch and dinner. Dinner specials include clams casino, fried calamari, bacon-wrapped filet minion, blackened tilapia and chicken cordon bleu.

3.     in Miller Place – The Irish pub is hosting an all-you-can-drink party to ring in 2011. For a $50 cover, enjoy a five-hour full open bar, hor d'oeuvres, a midnight champagne toast and party favors.

4.     in Rocky Point – Tommy's Place is throwing a New Year's Eve party with no cover charge, free appetizers and a free champagne toast at midnight.

5.     in Miller Place – Brian Scott's has three seatings on Dec. 31 at 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. The restaurant will be serving its winter menu with daily specials and live music will start at 7 p.m.

6.     in Miller Place – The Miller Place Inn is throwing a five-hour New Year's Eve Party Friday with a flat rate of $99 plus tax and 20 percent gratuity providing an open bar with top shelf liquor, hor d'oeuvres, an entrée, desert and midnight toast. Cocktail hour starts at 8 p.m. with a live pianist and lasts one hour. The following reception will feature DJ entertainment. Reservations are required. Payment must be in cash and presented to your server on the night of the party.

7.     Alexandros in Miller Place – The Greek restaurant is hosting a New Year's Eve party featuring live music by The Blue Souls, a price fix menu and complimentary champagne toast to ring in 2011. Reservations recommended.

8.     in Rocky Point – Sea Basin is open New Year's Even and offering a special menu that's available on its website at seabasin.com.

9.     in Miller Place – Blond is open Dec. 31 serving its regular menu along with specials.

10. in Rocky Point – J&R's is open normal hours on New Year's Eve and will be serving its regular menu along with holiday specials.
