Event Spotlight: Historical Society's Postman Pete

11th annual children's event to be held Dec. 2 gives children a chance to give Santa their letters.

The Miller Place-Mount Sinai Historical Society is holding its 11th Annual Postman Pete at the William Miller House Dec. 2.

The annual holiday event gives children the opportunity to bring their prewritten letter to Santa any time between 12:30-3:30 p.m. and Postman Pete will stamp them for delivery to the North Pole. Children will also receive a letter mailed home from Santa.

Families can also enjoy refreshments in the historic 1720 William Miller House and sing along with Miller Place High School choral group. Pre-registration for this event is required by Nov. 28.  Send $6 per child along, with their name and address to Postman Pete, POB 723, Miller Place, NY 11764.  Raffles and all proceeds benefit restoration efforts of the Historical Society.
