- Occupy Wall Street has been a national headline. Now that headline is moving closer to home. An is scheduled to take place today and Stony Brook Univeristy students are later this month.
- Speaking of Stony Brook University, a late Monday night. The building had been undergoing renovations. Unaffected parts of the building were opened for classes the next day.
- Tragedy struck in Manorville when a mother and her in a two-car accident last week. Two other children were airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Hospital in critical condition. and fundraiser for the family were held earlier this week.
- The political trail wound through Patchogue this week as Brookhaven and Suffolk candidates and spoke on their positions in advance of next month's election.
- Suffolk County Police Officers saved a Lake Ronkonkoma man who was car on Tuesday. The man was changing a tire when the jack moved.
